01
Choose the dive-watch branch first
Current Sea-Dweller offers 1,220-metre capability in a 43 mm case. Rolex Deepsea increases depth capability and case mass through a different architecture, while Deepsea Challenge is more extreme again. Compare Submariner only when daily versatility matters more than saturation-diving engineering.
02
Reference controls fit and character
The 16600 and 116600 retain compact 40 mm proportions and no date magnifier; the 126600 introduced a 43 mm case, red model text, calibre 3235 and a Cyclops. The 126603 adds yellow Rolesor to the same current-generation platform. Try the bracelet and assess thickness, balance and clasp adjustment—not diameter alone.
03
Inspect integrity before capability claims
Verify bezel action, ceramic or aluminium insert, crystal, case geometry, helium-valve area, crown, bracelet, clasp, dial, hands and service disclosures. Historical originality and current pressure resistance require separate evidence; the individual product page controls condition, included items, price and availability.
