What the data means
Within this single-dealer snapshot, $15,000 provided meaningful choice—but the choice was concentrated. Buyers had broad access to Datejust and Oyster Perpetual configurations, while recognizable Professional models appeared far less often and generally near the upper boundary of the price range. The data supports a practical distinction: “Rolex under $15,000” was a large category by listing count, but it was not evenly distributed across model families.
This is useful for buyers comparing current advertised availability and for journalists or researchers examining the composition of one independent dealer’s live catalog. It should not be used as a market-wide transaction-price index.
Methodology and limitations
Inclusion rules. A listing was included only when Shopify showed the product as active and published, vendor Rolex, advertised price above $0 and at or below $15,000, tracked inventory above zero, tagged unworn, and not tagged price-on-request.
Unit of analysis. Each observation is one qualifying Shopify product record, identified by its numbered appendix row and linked product URL. Records sharing a title or reference are counted separately; this snapshot does not deduplicate to a unique reference or configuration.
Price basis. Prices are public advertised asking prices in USD as captured on August 1, 2026. They are not completed-sale prices, wholesale bids, trade values, auction results, taxes, shipping charges, or financial advice.
Classification. Model-family labels were derived from the product titles in the captured catalog. Inventory and prices change as watches sell or listings are updated.
Scope. This is transparent first-party catalog data from Superlative Watch Co., not a representative sample of every dealer or the entire secondary market.
Commercial disclosure. Superlative Watch Co. is the retailer whose catalog is measured and may sell the listed watches. It is an independent retailer, not an authorized Rolex retailer, and is not affiliated with Rolex S.A.
Reuse. See the Market Data License for quotation and reuse terms. Links and SEO treatment are never required.
